I have 43 years of surfing experience, and I couldn't make a good recommendation with that much information. Go to a good local surf (or shop wherever you usually surf). Too many people give recommendations on this site that are off the wall, and I fear that some poor folks listen to this drivel. I see some of the nit wit answers they pick as "Best Answer". Take you surfing questions to local shops, not a bunch of teenagers on line.

Also, I can tell by the question you are a bit of a noobie. Take the time to rap with the people in the shop, and talk to other surfers on the beaches where you surf. That is where you get real surf information, not YA Answers.

Surfboards are available in many different sizes, colors, styles and lengths. They can be expensive but it is easy to learn how to find a surfboards sale. Keep your eyes on the surf shops in your area and online Surfboard companies. Many stores will put surfboards on sale during the off season. This is also an excellent time to get surfboard accessories and stock up on essentials such as surf wax.

Another way to find a great deal of surfboards is to contact the store manager. Explain to them what you are looking for and about what price range you need. They may be able to offer you a discount or let you know when their product will be on sale. If nothing else, you can get free advice from an expert and he/she can always contact you when an optimal surfboard comes in.

When you are searching for the right surfboard does not risk high quality for a lower price. The right surfboard for your weight and height is needed to have a successful day surfing. You also need to consider your area and the intensity of the waves. If you expect extreme conditions then you may need a longer narrower surfboard.

Smaller waves then you would want a fish or long board.

Most surf shops have a weight and height guideline to follow when purchasing a new board. Try to stay within these guidelines and pick the right board for your shape and size. Many beginners try to surf with boards that are too short. It is important to pick a long board when you are first starting out. Look at the measurements of the board, the thicker the easier to ride.

A long board does better in weak waves and helps beginners get used to the feel of surfing. Take you time and follow all the safety precautions. You may also have fun with different shaped boards. An oddly shaped board is great for beginners. A new technology, for example FCS fins, can allow you to change multiple fin setups. Some boards have the FCS slots for up to 5 fins. From one fin to four (quad) your preferences for your ride.

If you are a more advance surfer you may want to choose a shorter board. Now that you have skilled some of the basic surfing instructions you may want to buy a smaller board. This will allow you to maximize your movements and go much faster. Keep an eye out for sales as you progress in your surfing abilities.

The thing about ammonia burns is that it often shows up after the event and black is a sign of healing, so you could have done a water change or if the tank has only recently gone through a cycle. Even in a cycled tank you could have had a sudden ammonia spike, but by the time the burns show up the bacteria could have dealt with it.

If it is ammonia burn and the water is now fine then as long as the water quality is good now it should heal up.

It's also possible that it's natural colors showing up as the fish mature.

The best course of action is to keep the water quality good and the tank clean.

The Angelfish has been a staple in the fish keeping hobby for several decades now. Its popularity can be attributed to its beautiful and graceful swimming style, ease of care and availability of different strains. Some of the old-time favorite strains are the marble, black, pearl-scale, half-black, zebra, leopard, lace, albino, veil tail, and gold. Breeders are always coming up with new strains to offer and entice hobbyists. The Koi strains have been recently making waves among the new varieties of angelfish. The name "Koi" is derived from the resemblance of the orange or red spot on the head of a Tancho Koi.

A harder to find Koi Angelfish strain is the albino. The body color of this strain is all white, has red eyes and an orange spot on the head. Some specimens have orange on their flanks as well. Before you buy angelfish, you should find a suitable location in your house and prepare your aquarium. The aquarium may be decorated with pebbles, live aquatic plants, and driftwood. If you intend to breed angelfish, it is better to use bare tanks for easier cleaning.

A 20-gallon tall aquarium can comfortably house 6-8 adult angelfishes. The rule of thumb of fish keepers is that for every gallon of water, you can add one inch of fish. if you decide to keep more fish, you must use an excellent filtration system and you have to change water more often to keep the water condition at an optimal level. Poor water condition is usually the cause of most fish problems and diseases.

Most reputable pet shop owners will not intentionally sell sick fish to their customers. Once the fish are delivered by a breeder or a wholesaler, they are immediately quarantined and observed for any sign of problems. Newly-arrived fish may be treated with anti-bacterial medication especially if they are grown in earth ponds. When choosing angelfish, observe for any sign of diseases such as open wounds, fungal infection, white spots, clamped fins, wasting away, and sub-dued color.

Visit the store a day ahead of time and get a very large fish bag and a couple of styrofoam shipping boxes from them. They should have the around. Explain what you are doing and the fact that the boxes will be coming back to them and they will most likely give them to you. You should be able to net the blood parrot and put it in a bag partially filled with tank water already inside the styrofoam box.

The angel could be netted if it is fairly calm and you have a soft net, otherwise you may need to catch it with the large bag, not always an easy trick, having someone to help you herd the fish into the bag while you hold it will make things much easier.

According to some fishermen, there are only two kinds of fish: muskellunge, and everything else. These sportsmen travel the Midwest searching for their prey, and if it's less than 50 inches long they don't even mention it to their friends. Usually called "Muskie," no other fish creates such a fanatical following as the muskellunge. There's good reason for that, and their monstrous size is only one consideration.

Muskie are abundant in many American lakes and rivers, but they are most commonly sought in the Midwestern states. They tolerate a wide range of water temperatures, but must have clear water. You won't find Muskie in water that is usually turbid. They also prefer water with little or no current. Muskie are not generally found in rivers with a drop of more than 10 foot per mile, although they can be taken from backwater areas of rivers with fast currents. They prefer shallow, weedy areas when they are young, but as they mature they move into deepwater areas. Big Muskie weigh up to 65 lbs and are the top predator of any body of water where they are found. They have long, needlelike teeth and certainly know how to use them.

Just one look at a Muskie and you will know why they are special to fishermen. They are in the Pike family, and in fact are the largest members of that family. They look like large Pike with greenish silver sides featuring dark markings, and cream colored undersides with brownish spots. Sometimes their fins are a beautiful deep red. They can interbreed with northern pike, resulting in what is called a "tiger Muskie" with irregular stripes on their sides. Muskie are very desirable as a trophy fish, and at times have been over fished. Conservation efforts have been implemented several times, and then removed when populations rebounded. Bait-cast reels are best for Muskie, fitted to a heavy rod with 80 lb braided line and a buck tail lure. Most Muskie are released after catch, unless they are kept for wall trophies.

Although these fish are common enough, they are loners. Don't expect to catch 4 or 5 on a typical day of fishing. Many fans travel north to find big Muskie, all the way to Ontario.
